Back Office
The Back Office module provides all of the behind the scenes functionality
that supports the other modules. These include file setup and maintenance,
option configurations and management reporting. The menus are divided
into 5 categories, Master Files, Views, Reports, Cashier and Maintenance.
It is in this module that you generate
the source information to transfer to your General
Ledger. Please read this important information.

Master Files
Master files setup is critical to the proper operation
of the system. The setup page covers the instructions
for setting up these files. This is also where sales contracts
are setup and maintained.

Views
Under the View
menu:
Ticket status - this enables you to check the status of any ticket (closed/paid/void
etc.,) for diagnostic purposes
Commodity purchases - this is an on-screen view of purchases by commodity
Customer purchases - this is an on-screen view of purchases by customer
Reports
Under the Reports
menu there are a variety of reports on commodities, customers, purchasing,
cashier activity, as well as exception and shipping reports.

Cashier
Under the Cashier
menu, a user with sufficient security clearance may:
Add or remove cash
Record cleared checks
Write off unpaid tickets
Closeout a drawer
Daily closeout report - quick snapshot of the day
Roll history
Accounting Transfer
Because the option for cash drawers
is turned off in the demo software. When you try to add cash or get reports
from this section you may get a message to the effect that you are not
logged in to any drawers, or that no drawers are open at this time. To
fully evaluate this aspect of the software, use Back
Office; Maintenance; Setup; Program Options to turn on drawers
and Back Office; Maintenance; setup; Drawer Maintenance
to set up the drawers for use.
Maintenance
The system setup is done under the
Back Office section of the program. If you wish to review different setup
options, please link back to the Setup page.
