Customizing Inventory
Screens
Just as in Scrap Buying, you have
the ability to setup your own custom screens for processing scrap. When
you setup your inventory master file,
you created default buttons for each material. Now, you will use those
buttons to define screens for the processing of inventory.
Button Menu Types
Select Back
Office; Master Files; Inventory; Button Menu Types.
You can create different menu screens for each processing computer (e.g..
Bailer, Nonferrous). The specific screen which is active at a particular
workstation is specified in Local Computer
Options for each computer.

To create additional menu setup types, Press the Add
button and enter the name of the new menu setup type. Press the
save button. Repeat the process to add as many menu types as you will
require.
Button Menu Pages
Within each Menu Type (Inventory
Screen), there can exist an unlimited number of menu pages. Before a menu
page can be used within a menu type (inventory screen), it must be specifically
created here, Select Back Office; Master Files;
Inventory; Button Menu Pages. Setup the different pages that you
want to include on your inventory screens. The Menu Page 'NONE' refers
to the Home page.

You can set up names for all the pages or sub menus you will need. This
example shows a menu group name 'Page 2'. On our main screen we will have
a button for Page 2. When the operator touches it, it will display page
2 - which we have setup here.
Press the Add
button to add new items. Save each item after
it has been entered. On this menu you can use the Undo button to undo
changes you have made in error.
Button Maker
The final step in the creation of
the customized inventory screens is performed using the Inventory Button
Maker. This program allows you to assemble all of the elements that you
have previously created into the customized screen that the operator will
see and use. To access this program, select Back
Office; Master
Files; Inventory; Button Maker.
Now you can design your button layout, color schemes, menus and sub-menus.

Setup Type
Start the process by selecting
the Menu Type. The home page of the menu will be displayed. If no buttons
have been defined for this menu, you will see a blank screen.
Things you might want to do in creating
& editing your scale screens:
1. Add a button
2. Set/modify the buttons properties
3. Remove/replace a button
4. Create & modify a sub-menu
Add a button
To add a new button to the grid,
simply click on a blank cell in which you want the button to appear.
Your list of
available commodities will be displayed.
Find the item you wish to add, click on it, and
then press the Select button. The
new button will appear in the menu grid using the default background color,
text color and font size from the inventory master file. If you do not
see the material in the list, you may have forgotten to set it up in the
inventory master file.
Set/Modify a button's properties

You may edit the
properties of any button by clicking on it. You can override the default
background color, text color and font size. To set a button to trigger
a call to another page or sub-menu, select the sub-menu from the drop
down box Calls Page.
Remove a button
New buttons can only be added
to a blank cell in the grid. Once a button has been placed into the grid,
any subsequent selection of that cell of the grid will only permit modification
of the characteristics of the button. Therefore, to replace a button,
it is first necessary to remove it. Simply click into the cell to be removed
and then click on clear button. After confirming
your intentions, the cell will be cleared.
Create & modify a sub-menu
To switch
to another menu page (or sub menu) go to the drop down box Menu Page.
The drop down list will be choices which you set up in the Button Menu
Pages. Once you have selected a choice from the list it will be displayed
as the current menu page.
Press the 'Home' button at any time to return
to your main menu.
