Procedure for entering a New Ticket
To start a new ticket, the operator can select either a Quick Ticket or a Customer Ticket

Starting a Quick Ticket
Let's look at a Quick Ticket first. After selecting the Quick Ticket Menu option, the ticket entry screen will open:

The ticket entry screen looks and functions almost identically for the Quick Ticket and the Customer Ticket. The only difference you will see is that the quick ticket will always be assigned to customer 9999999. In this case, the customer name for customer 9999999 has been setup in the Customer Master file as "A VALUED CUSTOMER". You can assign a different name to the special customer number 9999999 and your tickets will reflect the name you have chosen.

Starting a Customer Ticket

Now let's look at a Customer Ticket. After selecting the Customer Ticket Menu option, the following screen will open:

The operator can use the Up, Down, Page Up and Page Down buttons to try and find the customer or he can search for the correct customer by Customer number, Company or by Last Name. Press the first few letters of the Company name to search for and the system will progressively display the closest match. Move up or down to locate the correct customer. Then press OK.

To search on a different criteria, press Cust #, or Last Name buttons to change the search field.
If customers have been assigned a bar coded identity card, press Bar Code to scan their card and retrieve their customer information.

If the customer is not on file, the scale operator can add the customer 'on-the-fly'. Touch the button New Cust. The abbreviated add customer screen will appear. The scale operator can enter basic information, but not pricing.

Once the new customer information has been entered, touch the Save button to continue.

The ticket entry screen appears, just the same as for the 'quick' ticket. Notice though, that the receipt is made out to a specific customer.
