The Smart Way To Buy Scrap
The Shipping module is selected from the main menu and is designed to be used at the scale with a touch screen monitor. For an overview, watch the Shipping demo viewlet. Options on the shipping menu allow the user to create a new shipment, view held shipments (loading) view closed shipments and enter/edit packing lists.
New Shipment
Start a new shipment by selecting the delivery customer from the customer
lookup screen.
Contract Selector
After the delivery customer has been selected, all of the open contracts
for delivery to that customer will be displayed. Select the correct contract
from the list.
Shipment entry screen
The shipment entry screen is used to record the shipment of materials
from the yard. This screen provides the ability to designate the carrier,
truck #, driver, and seal #. The gross & tare weights are captured
from the scale.
Shipping Document Printing
All of the shipping documents can be printed at one time. The operator
can override the default setup for number of copies and printer for each
document.
