Add or Edit Commodity Select a commodity and the screen immediately opens. Before you set up commodities you should have an understanding that you can set up parent and child commodities. The Parent/Child commodity structure enables a tree structure so you can create relationships among commodities. Each commodity may have only one Parent commodity. Parent commodities provide default settings that can be used to create related child commodities. On the Edit Commodity screen you can add a new commodity or edit an existing one. The screen is divided into several areas. Along the top you can the commodity to be a parent commodity, set it as active or inactive, set it up as a commodity or reward. [could link to loyalty rewards?] You need to give each commodity a unique Code and print description. Then continue selecting from the General option. Add pricing. Select the inventory item this commodity is related to for sales purposes. If this commodity is reported to the government, make the appropriate selections. Setting the Default Menu button settings here makes it easier when you set up the menu buttons. Displays a list of commodities that are related commodities to the one that is selected. Duplicates the commodity. A confirmation message displays. Deletes the current commodity. Saves the current screen/transaction. Closes the current module/screen.
